Weather conditions during the Amsterdam Light Festival
Amsterdam winter is truly enchanting. Breathtaking and cosy evenings and twinkling lights over the canals are the ideal setting for an unforgettable experience. The best accessories for this journey are double layers and mittens of course.
And yes, winter can be chilly in Amsterdam, so we do make sure our boats are extremely comfy to be on during the winter time. Blankets, heaters, cabriolet canopies, warm drinks and spectacular views to warm you and your heart are all aboard!
The route you’ll be taking
As you’re cruising with a private boat, you have a say in the route. Of course you can choose to see all the beautiful art works along the Amsterdam Light Festival route, but if you would like to venture out to the many kilometres of canals that are not included in this route that is of course also possible!
Whatever spots you’d like to cruise along, our expert captain will guide you along the route, showcasing the stunning art installations of the AmsterdamLight Festival and exploring quieter, enchanting parts of Amsterdam. Of course he or she also leaves plenty of time for you to enjoy the cruise in silence or by chatting with your fellow guests.

All of our boats are real eye catchers, and some of them are even more than 100 years old. We carefully restored them years ago to meet today’s modern standards. Our boats are fully electrical and emission-free, ensuring our tours to be as environmentally friendly as possible. On top of that, each of our boats are modular and prepared for any weather type thanks to the cabriolet canopies.
