Our original Pure Boats Canal Cruise (from €69 per guest) is specially designed to showcase the very best of Amsterdam for you, your family, or friends! We warmly invite you to join us on one of our luxurious electric canal boats for a two-hour journey through Amsterdam’s enchanting canals, along with a small group of other guests.

This all-inclusive cruise offers an intimate experience, with a maximum of 24 guests on board, of which up to 6 can be from the same group.

Cruise includes a delicious sharing platter with Dutch cheeses, nuts, olives, and cheese sticks. A self-service open bar is available on board with local craft beers, European quality wines, soft drinks, and juices.

Our cruise route adapts to the time of day so you can fully appreciate the city. We navigate through hidden gems and iconic spots rarely seen on shorter cruises. Highlights include the peaceful canals of the Jordaan, scenic Prinseneiland, and the city’s oldest district. We complete a full loop through Amsterdam, passing historic landmarks like the Anne Frank House, the Skinny Bridge, the Amstel, the 7 Bridges, the Red Light District, and much more.

We’d love you to meet our beautiful boats: Small Open Boat Geertje, Classic Boat Schollevaar, Prestigious Pure Spirit, Yacht of the Canals Stan Huygens, and Luxury Boat Lucy.

All of our boats are real eye catchers, and some of them are even more than 100 years old. We carefully restored them years ago to meet today’s modern standards. Our boats are fully electrical and emission-free, ensuring our tours to be as environmentally friendly as possible. On top of that, each of our boats are modular and prepared for any weather type thanks to the cabriolet canopies.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring pets?

On our shared cruises we don't allow pets, because although we love animals we can't be sure the other guests love them as much.

What do you do when it rains?

We are of course used to a little rain here in Amsterdam! Both the Geertje and Pure Spirit have a pop-up canopy that can provide you with a cover, and the Schollevaar has a very comfortable indoor saloon seating area in case of heavier rain. Lucy provides a fully enclosed, heated saloon, as does our newest fleet, the Stan Huygens . We also have umbrellas on-board to provide some shelter from a shower so we can assure you that you'll have a great time whatever the weather! In the unlikely events of extreme weather conditions that will make it unsafe to cruise, we will look into rescheduling your trip.

Do you have restrooms on board?

Our boats Pure Spirit, Lucy, Schollevaar, Stan Huygens have toilets on board. Our boat Geertje does not. Luckily we have an office located at Keizersgracht 92H (close to the dock) where we have bathrooms!

Where do your boats depart from?

The pick up and drop off point for majority of our cruises is situated at the dock on Keizersgracht 106, alongside the water. We kindly request that you arrive at the dock 5 minutes prior to the start of your cruise to facilitate smooth experience. If you are cruising on boat Stan Huygens, the standard pick up and drop off is located at Herengracht 128.

When should I arrive for my tour?

Please arrive at the dock five minutes before your scheduled departure, where your captain will be waiting for you patiently! If you have booked a small group tour we do urge you to be on time, unfortunately we cannot wait for late arrivals.

Is the cruise in English?

Every shared cruise we offer comes with an English-speaking captain, ensuring that the entire cruise will be conducted in English.

Do you provide guided tours or commentary during the cruise?

Yes, ALL of our cruises feature live commentary, where our knowledgeable captains or hosts share stories and history about Amsterdam while you enjoy the views. They’ll make sure you get the most out of your experience.
