At Pure Boats, we offer boutique canal cruises through Amsterdam’s famous canals. Our fleet of luxurious electric boats gives our guests an intimate and memorable experience, from private cruises to small group tours.
Winter is one of our busiest seasons, with the Amsterdam Light Festival and the festive holiday period, and we’re looking for energetic Runners to keep everything behind the scenes running smoothly.
This is a hands-on, operational role. You’ll be right in the middle of the action, making sure our boats, captains and hosts have everything they need before heading out on the canals.
What will you be doing?
As a Runner, you’ll help prepare our boats and keep the daily operation moving. Your shifts can include:
- Stocking and preparing the boats before cruises
- Cleaning and resetting boats between trips
- Preparing snacks, drinks and other items for our guests
- Keeping our stock, office and operational areas organised
- Picking up last-minute groceries, like getting flowers or other supplies by bike
- Helping captains and hosts get everything ready on time
- Jumping in wherever needed when things get busy
It’s an active job, so you won’t be sitting still! One moment you’re preparing snacks, the next you’re cycling through Amsterdam for some last-minute flowers or getting a boat ready for its next cruise.
Who are we looking for?
- You’re 18+ and preferably based in or around Amsterdam
- You’re energetic, practical and not afraid to get your hands dirty
- You’re reliable, punctual and can work independently
- You like working in a fast-paced environment
- You’re comfortable cycling around Amsterdam
- You’re flexible with evenings and weekends ( as most shifts will be )
- You’re available throughout November, December and January
- December is our busiest month, so good availability during the festive period is essential
- You speak English; Dutch is a bonus
What do we offer?
- A fun and active winter job where no two shifts are the same
- A young, international and welcoming team
- A central role in the daily operation of Pure Boats
- The chance to experience the Amsterdam from behind the scenes
- Flexible shifts throughout the winter season
- Good pay and a team where hard work is noticed and appreciated
- Nice team outings and borrels
If you like being busy, enjoy practical work and want to be part of the team that makes sure every boat leaves perfectly prepared, we’d love to hear from you.
